Chakwera mocks Mutharika in Mzuzu

Tonse Alliance torchbearer Dr. Lazarus Chakwera who is also President of the main opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) on Sunday accused President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika of being an all-time failure.

Chakwera said this during campaign rally held at Mzuzu Upper Stadium ahead of the fresh Presidential polls scheduled for July 2, 2020.

In his speech Chakwera said Mutharika failed to run the Ministry of education during the academic freedom saga.

Chakwera further accused Mutharika of failing to close borders amid the Covid 19 and also failing to protect persons with albinism.

“He claims to have won the election last year, yet he has now submitted his nomination to contest again,” said Chakwera while attracting ululations from the people gathered at the rally.

Turning to the forthcoming Presidential polls, Chakwera urged Malawians to come out in large numbers and vote for Tonse Alliance.

He said the alliance the only hope for Malawians.
