Malawi records 52 new cases of Coronavirus

Malawi has recorded 52 new cases of Coronavirus bringing the total to 336 cases in the country.

Co-Chairperson for Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19 Dr. John Phuka announced this on Monday afternoon in the capital Lilongwe.

Out of the 52 cases, 42 are Malawians who have recently returned home from South Africa, according to Dr. Phuka.

Phuka said 9 are truck drivers and that one is a man from Dedza.

The total number of active COVID – 19 cases currently stands at 290 with 42 recoveries and 4 deaths.
