Young Texas Mom Found Dead With Her Daughters ‘Died From Overdose’

Natalie Chambers was suffering from an injury, according to a friend of hers, who did not disclose further information.

Reportedly, the young mom had been looking for help before she and her two daughters were found lifeless in the car. According to reports she had become deeply depressed during the COVID-19 crisis, igniting fears that she had relapsed.

Police have not made information regarding the family’s autopsy public yet, as per Crime-Online.

Farmers Branch Police Department Officer Steve Rutherford told Fox News that the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office had suggested to authorities to investigate along the area Natalie was believed to have been traveling through, based on concerns voiced by members of her family.

“Our officers responded to the location, checked the area, and actually located the vehicle in the 4300 block of LBJ freeway,” he said.

“Upon contacting the occupants of the vehicle, the officers observed there were three occupants inside the vehicle and the tragic discovery was made that all three occupants of the vehicle were deceased.”

Rutherford revealed that cops were not able to determine what caused the deaths right away, and they have not said whether they believe foul play was involved.

According to People, Natalie and her children were last spotted at around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, leaving their home to go on a playdate.

Family members reported the three missing on Wednesday afternoon, and police started searching around the Kaufman County area, looking for anything to help them find Natalie and the girls.

Sadly, the intense search came to an end in less than a day after police tracked their location through the mother’s mobile phone. Natalie and the girls were found dead in their SUV Thursday morning.

The report states CCTV footage shows that she drove into the parking area near a furniture store at about 9 a.m. last Wednesday. Temperatures went up to 93 degrees that day.

Investigators say the three were headed to a playdate in Grapevine which is located more than 40 miles away.

CBS reports that Natalie’s sister, Jessica Purcell, made the following statement in response to the tragedy.

“Natalie was hilarious and charismatic and never met a stranger. She fiercely loved her girls and was an inspirational mother.

“I always used to tell her I’m glad she did it (motherhood) first so I can steal parenting tips from her. Izabel and Elise were happy and so very smart and witty. Izabel got that her mom’s sassiness and Elise got her humor. They were beautiful and perfect. Our hearts are completely shattered.”

The Dallas County Medical Examiner is expected to finalize the official autopsy reports at some point this week.
