Parliament Not Spared, CDEDI Wants Proceedings to be Held in Vernacular Languages

Centre For Democracy Economic Development Initiative (CDEDI) has called on the Malawi Parliament to consider holding proceedings of the house in vernacular languages.

According to The organization’s Executive Director Sylvester Namiwa, the development will ensure that there is ease of expression among legislators ad understanding by local masses.

Namiwa said this during a press briefing the organization held this morning in the capital Lilongwe.

The former press officer for retired head of state Peter Mutharika, also called on Tonse Alliance leadership to implement its campaign promises as their maiden national budget will be presented in parliament early September.
