Publicist for two main political parties in the Tonse alliance Administration have refuted allegations that there are divisions in the Alliance.
In a press statement made available to Face of Malawi signed by Joseph Chidanti Malunga spokesperson of United Transformation Movement (UTM) and Maurice Munthali of Malawi Congress Party (MCP) said the rumors are being advanced by the opposition.
According to the statement, the rumors are contrary to the wishful thinking of the two leaders leading the Tonse Alliance president Lazarus Chakwera and his vice Saulos Chilima.
“President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima are united in their resolve to work together in cleaning up the nauseating mess creating and left by the past regime,” read the statement.
According to the statement, it is the responsibility of the Tonse administration to forge ahead in handling all development matters in the interest of and as a service to all Malawians without regard to political affiliation.
