Teachers in the country insist they will keep sending back home students who are not complying with set Covid-19 preventative measures.
Schools across the country have reopened on Monday this week following a closure of up to six months in a bid to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
However, there have been reports that some students are not allowed to attend classes for flouting some set measures.
The Teachers Union of Malawi says it is unfortunate that some students are showing up at school without face masks.
Charles Kumchenga Secretary General for the union, has warned that teachers will be sending back home any student who is not complying with the guidelines aimed at preventing the spread of Covid-19.
He has since advised parents to ensure that students are wearing face masks when going to school failure which they will not be allowed to get in class.
Mandatory wearing of face masks, washing hands regularly, sanitizing and observing social distance, are some measures that government meted out to schools as examination classes have now resumed.
