Born 35 years ago in the Village headman Nalingula in the area of Traditional Authority Kaduya in Phalombe district, Marshey Chenjani who is popular known as Marshey Cee started his music career after being inspired by American King Star Robert Kelly.
Speaking in an Interview, Marshey Cee said after listen to R. Kelly music, he started compiling songs in 2014 and released his first album in 2019.
“I released my first album in 2019 titled Ndikalingalira (thinking of his life) with 12 songs which include Saziwa, Tavana, Mwandiombola, Umasiye,AChikondi just to mention but few,” he said.
Marshey who also own Pork Butchery at Kamba Market in the commercial City of Malawi Blantre also said he released his second album titled Mtimawanga with songs like Zanga, Zimandiwawa, Zalowa Chibwana among others.
He said he will release EP (Extende Play) with seven songs before the end of October and his fans should expect fireworks.
He belongs to Assemblies of God church and his music is mixed with Gospel and secular.
Third born in the family of 6 children (2 boys and 4 girls) his favourire food is Mgaiwa with Okra (Therere) and Utaka.
He is married with 4 children (2 girls and 2 boys).
