Malawi Police Reminds The Public That Covid-19 Regulations Are Still Enforceable

Malawi Police Service (MPS) has reminded the general public that rules and regulations for Covid-19 Prevention, Containment and Management are still enforceable.

According to a press statement made available to Face of Malawi, National Police spokesperson James Kadadzera said it has noted that some quarters of the society are approaching the rules and regulations with laxity.

“To this effect, the general public is reminded that among other regulations, public gatherings of more than 100 individuals are still prohibited and the seating capacity in public transport should not exceed 60 percent of the seat,” read part of the statement.

The statement further commended all individuals and stakeholders who are continuing with awareness campaigns for the people to be complying with the rules and regulations to protect themselves and others against Covid-19.

To this date, the fight against the novel Coronavirus is progressing as the country is registering few cases a day and more of recoveries.
