Chakwera says Nsanje Inland Port not on Tonse Alliance priority areas

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has said the Nsanje World Inland Port is not on Tonse Alliance priority areas of development.

Chakwera said this when he appeared in Parliament to answer questions from the lawmakers.

“The Nsanje Inland Port is not the priority right now. We will look into its feasibility but the priority right now is to rehabilitate the railway road to Marka and connect it to Mozambique so that we have something that can work faster,” said Chakwera.

He said his administration will soon embark on feasibility study on Nsanje Inland Port.
