A 48 year-old woman, identified as Catherine Mphuka, was found dead in her marital house in Blantyre’s Chilomoni Township on Tuesday, 20 October.
Blantyre Police Public Relations Officer, Augustus Nkhwazi, confirmed the development, stating that Police have since picked her husband, Mike Mphuka, 46, for questioning.
Nkhwazi further explained that the husband had left his wife with their 8 year-old son on the day in question.
However upon his return at around 6pm, he found his wife dead in the bedroom and the body had fresh wounds on the cheeks, forehead, outer ear and lower lip.
