Two arrested over 25 bags of fertilizer in Lilongwe

Police in Lilongwe are keeping in custody two men for being found in possession of 25 bags of fertilizer with no supporting documents.

The two are identified as Malaki Banda, a driver, and Patrick Gunda a porter at ETG shop at Dickson Trading Centre.

The suspects, at around 23:30 hours of 2 December 2020, were packing fertiliser bags behind ETG shop at Dickson Trading Centre, and upon being asked to produce documents they failed to do so.

They were immediately arrested and brought to Lilongwe Police Station.

The two have since been charged with found in possession of property suspected to be stolen and will appear in court soon.

Malaki Banda, 32, hails from Kayizamimba Village Traditional Authority Masula in Lilongwe and Patrick Gunda, 23, hails from Kachipeya village Traditional Authority Kachere in Dedza district.
