Lightning struck to death a 12 year old boy of Mthawitsa village Sub-traditional Authority (A/T) Phalula in Balaka, last night.
Balaka Police Public Relations Officer, Felix Misomali, identified the deceased as Faith Kandilani and was struck while seeking refuge from rainfall in a certain house within the village.
Misomali said the mother, Margret Sangabwere Kandilani, told police that the boy was rushed to Phalula Health Center where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
On Saturday, two people died after being struck by lightning and other three sustained serious injuries at Dinde primary school in Nsanje.
