In the last 24 hours Malawi has registered 225 covid-19 recoveries as confirmed cases have reached 20, 000.
According to daily report on Coronavirus, out of the 20, 000 people confirmed positive for the virus, at least 7005 have completely recovered.
So far the country has 13075 active cases as 843 more people were tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
22 new deaths were recorded pushing the number of people who died from the virus to 540.
Since the second wave of the virus Malawi has been registering high cases of Coronavirus on a daily basis, and the number of people dying has also increased.
The country is believing that the South African new strain might be in the country saying might be the one spreading fast.
The populace is still reminded to continue adhering to Covid-19 guidelines in order to halt the spread of the virus.
