The Dowa First Grade Magistrate’s Court on Monday convicted and sentenced a 22 year old man for defilement.
The man, Frank Chavunga, to five years imprisonment for defiling and impregnating a 15-year-old girl.
The court heard that the convict defiled and impregnated the girl after abducting her.
According to reports, Chavunga took the girl and started staying with as his wife without the knowledge of the girl’s parents.
