Mary Chilima Applauds Kenani, Others For Fighting Against Covid-19

Vice President Saulos Chilima’s wife, Mary Chilima has thanked Onjezani Kenani and others for successfully managing funds aimed at fighting against the global pandemic Coronavirus.

Kenani who is based in France set up a Covid Response Private Citizens team which was sourcing funds to help in the fight against Coronavirus.

Writing on her official Facebook page, Mary Chilima acknowledged the efforts rendered as the country is struggling with the virus.

“A special thank you to Stanley Onjezani Kenani, Dr Thandie Hara, Polesana Tembo and the entire Covid Response Private Citizens team for your efforts,” wrote Chilima.

She added; “May God bless you and all that contributed in cash and kind abundantly. Zikomo kwambiri (Thank you very much).”

Kenani, managed to raise over 100 million Malawi Kwacha and every penny was counted for.

A lot of people including the state president Lazarus Chakwera hailed Kenani for helping government in the fight against the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the country is registering lower cases of the virus with more recoveries.
