FOUR MOZAMBICANS NETTED IN MULANJE OVER ILLEGAL ENTRY

Police in Mulanje district are keeping in custody four Mozambicans on suspicions that they entered the country illegally.

Mulanje Police Public Relations Officer, Gresham Ngwira has confirmed the development.

Ngwira has identified the four as Dalitso Mwandama, 20, Arason Mphalenga, 24, Chikondi Gift, 20, and Kalilito Juwawo, 21.

According to Ngwira, the police acted on a tip the four were illegally staying in different parts of the district.

The four were apprehended on Sunday during an operation after failed to show permits.

They have since been charged with illegal entry, contrary to Section 21 (1) of the Immigration Act.
