Senior Resident Magistrate Akiya Mwanyongo has granted bail to the five Mapeto DWS officials who were arrested over K10.8 Billion tax evasion allegations.
The suspects were arrested on Sunday in Blantyre.
The bail conditions include furnishing bail bond of K10 million each; 2 reliable surities of blood relatives in Malawi for each accused person, bonded at K50 million non-cash.
The Magistrate has also order the suspects to be reporting to Malawi Revenue Authority offices every fortnight on Mondays until the trial starts.
They have also been asked to surrender their travel documents.
The five are Faizal Gaffar, Mohammed Gafar, Abdul Rashid Bakali, Yassen Muhammad and Martin Mpata.
