Three cattle rustlers nabbed in Chikwawa

Chikwawa Police Station is keeping in custody three men for allegedly stealing four cattle valued at K1.2 million.

Chikwawa PRO Dickson Matemba said the suspects are identified as Vito January, 48, of Saini village, John Tenson, 22, of Masanduko both from Traditional Authority Ngabu in the district.

In another development on 25 May, 2021 police also arrested Henry Alexander, 45, of Sande Village Traditional Authority Maseya in Chikwawa District.

Matemba said Alexander was arrested at Thabwa roadblock while transporting three slaughtered cattle without livestock permit on his Sienta vehicle registration number CK6471.

He will appear in court to answer the charge of moving with a carcass without livestock permit while the other three suspects will answer theft of cattle.
