Police have released the two truck drivers that were briefly detained at Kanengo in Lilongwe for allegedly trying to stop heavy-duty vehicles, in protest against what they call failure by authorities to address their challenges.
The drivers and Police are still at the scene as the two sides are yet to reach a consensus on the planned truck drivers demonstrations.
Police say the drivers have not been given permission to demonstrate.
