Lilongwe Court Premises Closed Over Covid-19

Lilongwe Court Premises have been temporary closed with Immediate effect paving way for fumigation exercise to be done by the Ministry of Health.

According to a Memo seen by this publication, the closure is effective today, July 15, 2021.

“The Malawi Judiciary would like to inform the general public that it has immediately closed its Lilongwe Court premises at area 3 and area 4 (High Court, Civil Division) effective Thursday, 15th July, 2021,” read part of the statement.

The statement added; “This is to allow personnel from the Ministry of Health conduct fumigation of the premises as part of Covid -19 prevention.”

The statement further continued that normal services will resume on July 23, 2021.

At the meantime, “all urgent matters will be handled using virtual platforms. The Malawi Judiciary regrets any inconvenience this may cause.”
