Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) president who is the country’s former Head of State Peter Mutharika is celebrating his 81st birthday today.
Mutharika is celebrating his birthday at his retirement home in Mangochi district which he described his 81st as great.
The former president who was born on July 18, 1940 was lost to president Lazarus Chakwera in the June 23, 2020 fresh presidential elections which were sanctioned by the Constitutional Court.
Mutharika served as one term president after his reelection in the 2019 presidential elections was declared illegitimate by court.
