Senior Chief Makanjira of Mangochi has forced one of the initiation camps from his area to close shop.
The camp was having 208 children.
According to Representative for National Initiative for Civic Education (NICE) Alex Amadu the camp which is popularly known as Al-huda from Kawinga Village in the area of Senior Chief Makanjira has become the first initiation camp to demolish in readiness for children’s return to school next week.
However there are still other initiation camps in operation in Mangochi, Machinga and Balaka among other districts.
