Police in Lumbadzi have launched a manhunt for a woman suspected of dumping her one-month old baby girl.
Lumbadzi Police spokesperson, Felix Kwinyani confirmed of the development in an interview with Times Group.
Kwinyani said one of community members informed the police that he found the baby girl crying outside the fence of a house.
Lumbadzi Victim Support Unit took the baby to Mtengowanthenga Health Centre where they were issued a referral letter to go to Dowa District Hospital for further treatment and examination.
