Court reserves ruling in Zameer Karim’s Mk150 million fraud case

High Court Judge Annabel Mtalimanja has reserved her ruling on a petition in which Zameer Karim is against the State’s move for an additional amendment of money laundering to the K150 million fraud case Karim and Victoria Chanza are answering.

This comes as lawyers representing Karim are seeking review of the proceedings at the Chief Resident Magistrate’s court.

Speaking to journalists after they appeared in court on Tuesday, one of the lawyers representing Karim, Alex Nampota, said they have presented their grievances to the court and they will wait for its decision.

Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Steve Kayuni has also said they have made their arguments on why the State has put an additional amendment on the charges against Karim and the bank officials.
