Malawi’s Senior Netballer Jane Chimaliro Loses Husband

Senior netball player for Malawi’s national netball team, The Queens, Jane Chimaliro has lost her husband.

According to reports, he died early morning yesterday in a road accident.

Netball Association of Malawi General Secretary Isaac Chimwala confirmed this in a statement released this morning.

“Sad to report that Jane Chimaliro, Malawi’s senior netball player has lost her husband in a road traffic accident early morning yesterday (Monday). Currently, Jane is in Namibia with the national team. Nam has already arranged for her travel back home to attend burial ceremony of her dear partner.

Currently Chimaliro is in Namibia with the National Team in which it is partaking in the competitions underway.

Meanwhile, Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) has already arranged for her travel back home to attend burial ceremony of her dear partner.

She will leave Namibia this evening and arrive in Lilongwe tomorrow afternoon.
