UTM Begs Kalindo For Dialogue

United Transformation Movement (UTM) Party has asked its senior member who also happens to be the Director of Youth Bon Kalindo to consider dialogue instead of going to the streets to express his anger towards the socio-economic challenges that have rocked the country.

Last week Kalindo who is accusing President Lazarus Chakwera of failing to run affairs of the country, announced that he will lead protests starting from Blantyre this Friday to force government to fulfil campaign promises.

However, the party’s spokesperson Frank Mwenifumbo has argued that instead of taking to the streets, Kalindo would have considered dialogue with the senior leaders in the Tonse Alliance.

Mwenifumbo added that the concerns raised by Kalindo are valid but the approach taken is wrong hence a call to a round table to discuss the matter.

“We need to look for better means than demonstrations,” said Mwenifumbo who earlier condemned Kalindo’s sentiments against President Chakwera and his vice Saulos Chilima, UTM’s leader.

However, Kalindo has said he will proceed with the protests despite being asked not to because he is not fighting for himself but Malawians who are struggling to make their lives bearable.
