DPP MP Ben Phiri in court

Bail application hearing for former Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ben Phiri, is expected this morning.
Phiri has already arrived at the Lilongwe Magistrate’s Court but hearing is yet to start.
He has been in policy custody since Wednesday last week.
Phiri is accused of procurement fraud in relation to his company Beata Investment which supplied some items to the Ministry of Gender.
