Just few days after Malawi was taking part in 16 days of activism against Gender Based Violence, a man in Lilongwe has defiled his 13 year old daughter.
According to reports, the girl stays with her mother in Lilongwe, Traditional Authority Malili.
The mother and her father are currently on separation and he committed the crime when he came to visit the child for support.
After raping his own daughter the man left the scene and the child was taken to Bwaila for treatment before being referred to police.
The sad part is that before the child was provided with Pep, the result came out that she is HIV positive.
Meanwhile the girl and her mother have been referred to police.
