Case of Ntcheu man suspected to have assaulted a boy adjourned to 6 January

The Ntcheu Senior Resident Magistrate Court has adjourned to 6th January 2022 a case involving a 46 year old man, Vincent Dzimadzi.

Dzimadzi was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 14 year old boy at Gochi 2 in the district last year in October after a video clip of his act went viral.

Dzimadzi was answering a case of committing an act intended to cause grievous harm but he pleaded not guilty.

On Tuesday, the state through its prosecutor Superintendent Prescott Mwayiulipo paraded four out of the six witnesses and a video clip.

Defense lawyer Fostino Mayere asked the court to finalise the case within this week; arguing that his client has stayed long in police cell.

Dzimadzi was being represented by Counsel Henry George Kadzakumanja who later withdrew from the case.
