Flames’ Replica Jerseys Fail To Arrive Yesterday

The Flames’ replica Jerseys failed to arrive in the country yesterday as announced by the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) citing logistic challenges.

This happened when some FAM officials were already at the Kamuzu International Airport to clear the consignment.

This has come as more of bad news for the fans keep on anticipating Flames match against Morocco today in the Round of 16 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) chase.

Initially, FAM had announced that the jerseys would be in the country yesterday, news that meant there would be more time for people to purchase ahead of the match today.

But FAM has in a statement said there were some logistical challenges behind the delay and there is hope the matter would be solved in the soonest time possible.

However, reports are indicating that the consignment will be flown today, meaning there will be a few hours before fans purchase the jerseys before the match.

The Flames play in this historic fixture against Morocco whom they last beat in 1993.

The side has reached the round of 16 for the first time since history.

Should the Mario Marinica side win, they will meet the winner of the match-up between Egypt and Ivory Coast.
