Agnes Nkusa Nkhoma makes it into Cabinet at 11th hour

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has appointed Member of Parliament for Mchinji South Agnes Nkusa Nkhoma as Deputy Minister of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare.

Nkusa Nkhoma’s appointment comes barely 17 hours after Chakwera released his final list of Cabinet which had 29 appointees.

With the appointment of Nkusa Nkhoma, the number of Cabinet Ministers has jumped from 29 to 30.

Nkhoma has been moved from Ministry of Agriculture where she was also serving as Deputy.

According to a statement seen by this publication, Nkusa Nkhoma was omitted on the final list by human error.
