A female motorcycle passenger has died in Mponera after the motorcycle she rode swerved off the lane.
The deceased has been identified as Christina Rabison aged 37, from Ng’ombe village, Traditional Authority Vuso Jere in Ntchisi District..
According to Public Relations Officer for Mponela police station Macpatson Msadala the deceased and the one driving were heading to Mponera from Ntchisi using unregistered motorcycle before the accident.
He said upon arrival at Chipaka village due to over speeding, the rider lost control of his motorcycle and swerved to extreme offside lane and fell down.
In the process, another unregistered San LG motorcycle which was coming behind them ran over the female passenger caused her to sustain both internal and external injuries.
The deceased was pronounced dead upon arrival at Mponera Rural Hospital.
