Court dismisses ACB’s wish in Uladi Mussa case

The Supreme Court of Appeal has rejected Anti-Corruption Bureau’s application to dismiss Uladi Mussa’s application for bail pending appeal.

Justice Lovemore Chikopa said Uladi Mussa’s case is not a hopeless and prospectless one warranting the dismissal.

“The court has not in the instant case, determined that this is a hopeless case or one with no prospect of success,” reads in part the ruling.

The court has also allowed Mussa’s co-convict Peter Katasya to amend his grounds of appeal.

Mussa is serving a five-year jail sentence for abuse of office.
