Kalibu Academy Director Pastor Michael Howard has shunned the public hearing organized by the Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC) on sex scandals involving him at the school.
The Commission is today holding a public hearing into allegations of administration of corporal punishment and child sexual abuse at Kalibu Academy.
MHRC launched an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse and administration of corporal punishment to learners at Kalibu Academy last year.
According to information at hand, Howard is currently out of the country.
MHRC Public Relations Officer Kate Kujaliwa has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
But Kujaliwa hinted that the hearing will proceed with testimonies from witnesses and victims.
