Social Commentator Chisa Mbele condemns stoning of Minister’s convoy in Rumphi

Well-known social commentator Joshua Chisa Mbele has condemned the stoning of a convoy of Deputy Minister of Health Enock Phale by unknown people at Bolero, Rumphi on Thursday.

Phale was in the district visiting some health facilities.

A total of three vehicles including the Deputy Minister’s vehicle, MG310DM had their glasses smashed.

The Minister also sustained injuries during the fracas.

Writing on his official facebook page Chisa Mbele condemned the violent attack on the Deputy Minister.

“We don’t believe in Violence of any kind.

“Ambushing Government Officials including members of the Cabinet doesn’t solve any economic problems,” wrote Chisa Mbele.

He added: “The incident at Bolero in which Hon Enock Phale’s convoy was stoned is distressful, unwarranted and regrettable.”

Meanwhile, law enforcers are yet to make any arrests.
