57 Year Old Zambian Man Handed 7 Years For Sodomy

A court in Zambia has convicted and sentenced a 57 year old man Evans Lukwesa to seven year imprisonment with hard labor for allegedly sodomizing a 15 year old boy.

According to reports, the man took advantage of he teenage boy when he visited him for enlargement of his manhood.

The offence committed is contrary to section 158 sub-section 1 of the Penal Code chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.

However Lukwesa pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him.

But in mitigation Lukwesa begged the court to exercise leniency as he was a first offender.

When passing judgment, magistrate Mulilo said Lukwesa’s action was not convincing enough, hence sentencing him to seven years imprisonment with hard labour with effect from the date of his arrest.
