Two Labourers Demand k8 Million From Chinese Firm For Allegedly Being Assaulted By Supervisor In Mzuzu

Two labourers, Luke Chilenje, 34, and Nelson Harry, 44 who were working as carpenters with China State Construction, a firm which is constructing Mzuzu Library Complex are demanding K8 million in compensation for allegedly being assaulted by their supervisor.

The tow claim that they were beaten up by their supervisor, Cheu Wen Jun, a Chinese national on three occasions while on duty.

Through their lawyer Christon Ghambi, the two alleged that the company did not act despite lodging two complaints.
