Nankhumwa appoints Mary Navicha as Deputy Chief Whip in Parliament

Leader of opposition in Parliament Kondwani Nankhumwa has appointed Mary Navicha as Deputy Chief replacing Member of Parliament for Mangochi Central Victoria Kingstone.
Kingstone is allegedly to have rejected the appointment since Nankhumwa is not recognized by the party president Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.
Speaker of Parliament Catherine Gotani Hara announced the development during deliberations on Thursday in the August House.
According to Hara, Nankhumwa has also appointed Yusufu Nthenda as Spokesperson on Legal Affairs in parliament.
Meanwhile, Parliament will rise today.
