Chisa Mbele makes fun of Judge Ivy Kamanga’s call : ‘Judge akufuna akamuoneko Mneneri’

Well-known social commentator Joshua Chisa Mbele who is also member of the United Transformation Movement (UTM) has reacted to the call by High Court Judge Ivy Kamanga to personally avail himself in court over his facebook posts.

It is reported that Chisa Mbele attacked female Judges in the country by describing them as ugly through a facebook post.

Yesterday the statement backfired as Judge Kamanga who is presiding over Chisa Mbele’s defamation case against Army Commander Vincent Nundwe demanded Chisa Mbele’s presence.

But writing on his official facebook page, Chisa Mbele attacked social media users who are pushing for the issue.

“The by-the-way Comment made by Lady Justice Ivy Kamanga should not be blown out of the proportion and context. She never put in the manner that some of you are twisting and exaggerating. It was a lighter moment comment.

“Even at the time when I made such a comment in my mother tongue, I actually meant the opposite (if you truly read it ) and subsequently apologized with explanation. It was accepted,” wrote Chisa Mbele.

He added: “Justice Kamanga is not an ordinary Judge. She is an impeccable, independent and wise person. She can’t mix a lighter moment with substantive issues before her. Sending an innocent person to jail is not a laughing matter.

“In short: Judge akufuna akamuoneko Mneneri. Judge naye ali ndi Chdwi.

“Musachulutse zolankhula. Palibe chomwe walakwitsa.”
