Country’s public hospitals still facing drug shortage

With reports emerging that most of the country’s public hospitals are still facing drug shortage, health activists are blaming the spirit of dependency on donors which is quite prevalent in the country.

Malawi health Equity Network National Coordinator Martha Kwataine believes the country can manage to pool local resources together and purchase some of the much needed drugs.

Currently, drug shortage at the Central Medical Stores is at 80 percent.
