Group village headman Kasakula from Ntchisi district has been arrested for allegedly defiling and impregnating his 13 year old stepdaughter.
Confirming the development, Ntchisi police public relations officer Yohane Tasowana said the suspect has been defiling the victim since 2021.
According to Tasowana, earlier this month, the girl discovered that she is pregnant.
Tasowana added that the 47 year old chief chased the minor out of his house after defiling her to live with her grandmother.
After being chased out of house, the girl disclosed her ordeal to Community Victim Support Unit (CVSU) who took the matter to police leading up to Zimba’s arrest.
The chief, real name Peter Zimba will soon appear in court to answer charges levelled against him.
