Sub Traditional Authority (T/A) Simndemba of Kasungu Dominic Banda who died on Saturday night at Kasungu District Hospital after a long illness will be buried today at Lunju Headquarters in the district.
Banda died from Tuberculosis.
People from all walks of life have gathered at Lunju headquarters in Kasungu to pay their last respects to the fallen chief.
Banda was born in 1948 and was evaluated to the position of Sub Chief in 2002.
The late chief has left behind a wife, six children and 33 grandchildren.
