Namiwa asks government to stop relocation exercise of refugees to Dzaleka Camp

The has called government though the ministry of homeland security to consider suspending the relocation exercise of refugees until government addresses their concerns.

The call has come at time when government dateline of the relocation is almost in completion.

According to Executive Director for CDEDI Silvester Namiwa the exercise of relocating refugees lacks merit and is surrounded with a lot of issues.

Namiwa has further urged government to leave the self reliant refugees in the community saying their are among national tax payers and good for national development.

Namiwa said government should first look at the issue of overcrowding in the camps as well as the refugees bill before forcing the asylum seekers back to the camps.
