What had been billed as a massive demo to demonstrate against massive looting at the Capital Hill and apparently call for the ousting of state president, Joyce Banda, has fell flat on the face in the very face of its organizer, John Kapito of the Consumers Association of Malawi (CAMA).
The demonstration which has been held in the capital city has seen a few people turning up such that ruling party sympathizers have mocked it as a mere big walk and not a demonstration.
CAMA, together with other Civil Society Organizations, had urged Malawians of all walks of life to join in the protests against the massive looting at the Capitol Hill and eventually force President Joyce Banda to resign .
The protests had been set for all the three major cities in the country but changes later came in telling Malawians that the protests will only be held in Lilongwe.
Meanwhile, the protestors have surrendered their petition to the CEO of Lilongwe city.
