CDEDI gives ACB 7 days ultimatum to clarify k750 million scandal

The Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiative CDEDI has given the Anti-Corruption Bureau(ACB) a seven day ultimatum to clarify on what it has done to probe the 750 million kwacha scandal.

This comes as representatives for CDEDI and other people are in the third day of holding vigils at the capitol hill entrance to force Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda Attorney General to provide evidence that they recovered the money or resign.

Executive Director for CDEDI Sylvester Namiwa, has said that they thought of writing ACB to seek clarification as to why the bureau appears not to be interested in the matter which he says is of national importance and affecting millions of people.

According to Namiwa, within the given timeframe they also want ACB to clear on the rumor that it is failing to act on three warrants of arrest for the former Minister of Agriculture Lobin Lowe, Former Principal Secretary Sandram Maweru and a private citizen Mr. Khombe.
