Councilor Lottie Chitekwe granted bail

Muloza ward councilor Lottie Chitekwe is temporarily free after a Mulanje Magistrate court gave him bail on charges that he abducted, defiled and impregnated a 16-year-old girl.
Chitekwe was arrested on Tuesday on these allegations.
Mulanje Senior Resident Magistrate Shaheeda Bakili ordered the elected local government official to pay a bail bond of K200.000 among other conditions.
