Headteacher Arrested for Indecent Assault on 10-Year-Old Student in Mchinji

In Mchinji, Police have arrested a 71-year-old man, Kennedy Banda, a headteacher at St Augustine Private Primary School, for indecently assaulting a 10-year-old student.

According to Limbani Mpinganjira, Mchinji Police Station Publicist, between April and May this year, Banda was forcing the minor to be fondling his private parts while he was also doing the same to her.

Mpinganjira said Banda would ask the victim to follow him to his office where he would commit the act and then give the girl MK200.00.

Later, according to Mpinganjira, the victim reported the matter to her parents who later reported to Mchinji Social Welfare Office.

Banda who is expected to appear before court soon to answer the charge of Indecent Assault.

Kennedy Banda hails from Chiwambo Village, Traditional Authority Kalolo in Lilongwe.
