Ex-minister of justice who was also President Banda’s trusted confidante before falling out of grace with her, Ralph Kasambara, has spoken for the first time since his arrest to the public.
Kasambara, currently being held at Mzuzu police, has disclosed that Pika Manondo has not framed him up in the shooting of Paul Mphwiyo nor have the Police interrogated Manondo.
According to Kasambara’s personal friend, Joshua Chisa Mbele, Kasambara has disclosed to him that even himself is yet to be charged or interrogated by the Police.
Kasambara has further alleged that the Malawi government through the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Nelson Bophani, has tried to convince Manondo to implicate Kasambara under the plea bargain but manondo has denied it as he knows nothing of the Mphwiyo shooting.
