FAM re-opens Mzuzu stadium

Football Association of Malawi, has reopened the Mzuzu stadium, following the inspection that FAM made on the stadium on 31 October this year.

According to the letter issued by FAM and signed by its general secretary Alfred Gunda, this has been done because some of the reason why the stadium was closed has been fixed.

However, FAM have requested the Mzuzu council that by February next year they should fixe some of the things that they association has recommended.

On November 2, 2023 FAM, president, Walter Nyamilandu, ordered the Club Licensing Committee to come up with a determination on the status of Mzuzu Stadium within 48 hours.

FAM on August 16, 2023, banned Mzuzu and Civo Stadiums from hosting official elite matches after failing to meet Club Licensing requirements.
