Police in Chiradzulu is keeping custody a 28 year old man for having sex with a 15 year old girl.
Cosmas Kagulo Chiradzulu Police Station spokesperson, Cosmas has identified the suspect as Chisomo Kambale.
According to Kagulo, Kambale has allegedly been sleeping with the girl from last month until days ago when he was caught in the act.
Kagulo said on the stated day at around 22:00 hours, the suspect was seen at the house of the victim, he then left with the little girl to his working place.
Kagulo added that her relatives started searching around the area but the yielded nothing.
They then decided to visit the premises where the suspect works and upon reaching the premises they found the two having sex.
He further added that the suspect was apprehended and brought to police who upon interrogations revealed that he started having sex with the minor in October.
He has since been charged with an offence of having sex with a minor which contravenes Section 138 of the Penal ode.
The suspect will soon appear before court to answer the charge leveled against him.
Chisomo Kambale hails from Jekete village in the area Traditional Authority Mpama in Chiradzulu district.
